Marketing Information

San Antonio School for Inquiry and Creativity
2011-12
Marketing and Advertising

In this class, you will learn marketing, entrepreneurship and advertising for business.  This is a serious class.  When you leave my classroom at the end of the year, I want you to be able to market you and your business.  You will be able to apply your knowledge to any business or college.
Our main goal is to promote our school and the projects which happen in our school!
Every Monday, we will have a production meeting.  Each of you will take notes, which will be graded.  You will be expected to help with ALL PROJECTS.  You will also have to chair at least one project this year.
We will be producing a newsletter every month this year.  The time it will go out will be discussed with Dr. DeLeon.  Each of you will be responsible for a section in the newsletter.  It will be a team effort, but it will be something that you can place on your resume.
The following are expectations that need to be kept in order for you to succeed in this class.
·       You need to have good attendance in all your classes
·        We will have a performance evaluation every four weeks in my class.  We will discuss your participation and make recommendations on how you can improve if need be.
·       You must not use any foul and offensive language in my classroom.
·       You must be willing to participate in ALL fundraisers.  Cookies will be sold, tacos will be sold and pizzas on Tuesday’s after school will be sold.  This is only a few of the fundraisers we expect to do.
·       Participation is mandatory!  It cannot be an effective class if we do not all work at it!
